Robert Menor was born in 1984 at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana. He is a mestizo (mixed blood) of Filipino and Mexican heritage. Raised in South Stockton, California, and currently residing in Columbus, Ohio with his family, he spent 12 years in Chicago in and out of hospitality jobs before deciding to cook seriously. He attended the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago and is now the head chef at Bonifacio, a modern Filipino restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. Robert is also the founder of the ATANG Filipino Food pop-up and catering company, and he spearheads the Little Manila Foundation Culinary Council.
